As Director of Interior Architecture for Facilities, Design and Operations, Julie Boynton leads a team of interior designers and project managers working on major new construction and renovation capital projects for the University of Notre Dame. Ms. Boynton’s team has successfully completed interior architecture work on several million square feet of projects varying in complexity and scope. The interior architecture team at the University of Notre Dame is responsible for interior finishes and details, furniture, fixtures, and equipment, including signage, and planning and executing the physical move of project occupants.
In 2017, Ms. Boynton personally led the interiors efforts for the University’s largest project to date which consisting of constructing 3 separate buildings, totally over 800,000 square feet, at and connected to the University’s iconic football stadium. During this project Ms. Boynton also led efforts to upgrade finishes, signage and graphic theming within the stadium concourses.
Prior to joining the University of Notre Dame in 2003, Ms. Boynton served in a variety of roles for Trinity Health System. Ms. Boynton holds a bachelor’s of science degree in business management from Bethel College, Mishawaka, Indiana.
